Award-Winning Designs for a New Swiss Platform

Our recent project, Monads, a Swiss platform for sharing and organizing decentralized knowledge, has just received Site of the Day awards from both CSS Winner and CSS Design Awards. For VALMAX, this recognition reflects the results of careful research, thoughtful strategy, and attention to detail that help even the most complex platforms feel intuitive and approachable. Old Brand, New Energy

When Monads came to us, their website and identity were frozen in time. The logo, colors, and typography no longer reflected the forward-thinking nature of the platform. Our first step was to create a proof of concept: updating the logo, refining the typography, and introducing fresh colors and graphics. We created a mini brand guide to help define the visual language. This modest first step helped everyone align on a new direction and set the stage for bigger ideas.

The main page concept is followed. Their old website left visitors guessing what the platform actually does. Our goal was simple-sounding but challenging: make a technically complex platform feel clear, modern, and inviting. Every decision, from layout to spacing, was made to guide the user naturally (and yes, we quietly celebrated when it actually worked).

Designing with Purpose

At VALMAX, design starts with research. We analyzed Monads’ audience, positioning, and brand archetypes to understand how to communicate effectively. Wireframes turned into final designs where each color, spacing choice, and subtle transition had a purpose. The result is a website that feels intuitive, even for newcomers to decentralized platforms. Alongside the website, we developed a presentation template consistent with the new brand. Custom icons and flexible layouts allow Monads to create professional decks quickly. The identity now extends beyond the website, providing cohesion across digital and offline materials. From Concept to Launch

The development phase brought designs to life with subtle animations and smooth transitions that support usability without drawing attention away from content. Minor refinements ensured the live website matched the design vision. The first phase is now fully responsive, polished, and ready to represent Monads globally.

Even during development, we refined icons and interactions so every detail felt deliberate. The first phase lays the foundation for the second phase, which will begin in January and expand internal pages and features. The experience is designed to grow with the platform, ensuring continuity and simplicity throughout.
