50 web pages engineered for pressure, just like the Carbo product
Carbo makes ceramic beads that hold up under 10,000 psi. So yes, their website had to be just as solid. We reimagined the structure, redesigned every screen, and shaped a digital experience as engineered as the product behind it.

45 YEARS, 1 GLOBAL BRAND
Built to perform — online, too
For over 45 years, Carbo’s 500-strong team has been producing ceramic beads tough enough for oil rigs and metal-casting lines.
‘Ceramic beads are these tiny but powerful components — like super-strong marbles — used in tough industrial jobs where things need to be strong, precise, and built to last.’
Four U.S. plants keep the line moving, and shipments head to customers all over the world. Tiny beads, enormous reach. The only thing that was still catching up? The Carbo’s digital presence.
RETHINKING THE PLATFORM
How do you jump from the edge of bankruptcy to booking production a quarter ahead?
For Carbo, the answer started with a new leadership team and landed on a brand-new digital presence. We first rebranded Carbo from the ground up and now needed to turn it into a living experience: industrial manufacturing website design with 50-plus custom pages, each tuned to a purpose, wrapped in a minimal, tech-forward system. All to make a new presence as solid as the beads they make.

THE BEAD THAT
BUILT IT ALL
We started with one idea: put the bead at the center of everything. On the homepage, that idea comes to life: a single ceramic sphere, floating and slowly turning. Every rotation nods to the durability Carbo engineers into each bead, while the red pulse hints at the R&D that keeps it evolving. Quiet, precise, unmistakable — that moving bead tells the whole story in one glance.

And yeah, it
worked
Within months after the launch, Carbo sold out every production slot for the next three months and began sketching plans for a new plant to keep up. They even launched another venture — and we were right there with them: a next-gen turf solution built around their flagship ceramic beads.

But don’t just take our word
for it — hear the results

CONTENT THAT WORKS AS HARD AS THE PRODUCT
Carbo didn’t settle for stock. They flew an industrial photographer onto the factory floor: real operators, glowing kilns, ceramic beads mid-fire. Those images fuel every page, showing that content is as integral to the brand system. And we didn’t stop at stills: for launch, we produced a full video, scripted start to finish, packed with custom 3D visuals, and hand-picked footage that brings the process to life.

CUSTOM TO
THE CORE
Built like a factory, looks like a website
With 50+ unique pages and a multi-layered navigation system, nearly every element in the manufacturing company website design was custom. A scratch-built menu with dynamic cards and smart search keeps users moving, while structured content flows cleanly through the CMS. Complex under the hood, effortless on screen.

Turning a dense
catalog into a user-
first experience
Carbo’s catalog runs deep, but a wall of specs doesn’t serve every user. Most people search by need, so we built a dual-entry system: one path for browsing by product, another for exploring by industry-specific use cases — from oil and gas to agriculture and mining.

KNOWLEDGE HUB DEEPLY
ROOTED IN FUNCTIONALITY
Most visitors don’t arrive knowing why ceramic beads matter, so the site doubles as a quick primer. Browse by product, industry, or performance need; search, sort, and download everything from brochures to demo videos. Essential resources stay open, deeper tech docs sit behind smart forms that qualify leads and keep the site secure.
